What have our Reception class been getting up to?
Autumn 1st Half
We have been getting to know their indoor and outdoor classrooms. They have been making rosemary pizzas – yum!
We have been working on our counting to 5.
We have read the book “The Colour Monster” and have painted our own colour monster!
We have been inspired by autumn squashes and pumpkins to paint picture
We made some Rice Krispie cakes to sell and raise money for Helen & Douglas hospice.
Autumn Term 2nd Half
We have used our water area to find ways for Incey Wincey spider to climb up and down the drain!
We have been using string and painted with cotton wool balls to paint poppies.
Exploring marks with Spaghetti broomsticks
Making tea potions and exploring capacity
In Reception, we have been reading, ‘Funny Bones’ and looking at what our bodies look like on the inside. We have been reading our phonics words written on bones and creating a doctor’s surgery in our play.
We have then investigated animal skeletons in the vet role-play area.
Campfire Early Years Blog for parents
